Hey can soemone tell me if this mix is ok for fish?

Ctenops nobilis- frail gouramis

nannacara anomala- some kind of dwarf cichlid... peaceful

chocolate gourami.

im thinkin of hvin them with 2 red robin gouramis too

what i am thinkin is that im gettin rid of my mollies and tetras b4 sunday and im puttin in my bogwood b4 too, so then ill add all the plants and get the fish...

I don't know about the cichlid or the 'red robin gourami' (What is this? Scientific name?)...

If the cichlid is even the slightest bit aggressive (it has to be like a guppy with those gouramies...) you must skip it entirely. They also must be able to cope with a very low pH (though I believe most dwarfs preffer soft water anyway).

For the chocolate and ctenops nobilis, have you ever kept discus successfuly (as in they died of old age - not sickness, or they spawned in your tank etc)?

Also, does your tank have a pH of around 5 (ctenops nobilis preffers 4.5 but chocolate preffer 5 - 6) because the ctenops nobilis needs that sort of water and the chocolates must be kept in a large group. The nobilis males will show aggression towards each other so only keep one male to minnimize stress.

Also, what size tank is this? It HAS to be large and stable (water params I mean) or those gouramies will die. They are incredibly fragile.

I read your other thread in the fish index...i wouldn't put the chocolate and ctenops nobilis in a 12 - 15 gallon tank, as Sylvia said, the water volume should be large to remain stable, in small volumes of water anything can go wrong since even a slight change in conditions can be drastic.

One of the reasons nano are quite hard to keep is evaporation can increase salinity in a short while which can be deadly to the fish/corals/inverts.

I don't know about the cichlid or the 'red robin gourami'

I'v seen the occasional 'red robin' gourami around here, but they're just a normal honey gourami with the fancy name

Knowing not too much baout these specific fish and what you said about your tank bring 15 gallons, I would say that that is too many fish to be putting in.

Gouramis can be somewhat temperamental, and Lateral Line (I believe that's the right person) said the robins coudl be potential carriers for disease. If so, then they would not be a good idea, and adding too many fish in a small tank would not be a good idea.

Honey gouramis (Colisa chuna, unless the name has changed) are pretty much hardy, the gourami with the health problems is the dwarf gourami, mainly because of inbreeding in order to get those colors that they have :)

Honey gouramies don't carry disease. It is the dwarf gouramies that have problems due to in-breeding and mass-production.
My main concern, now that I know what a 'red robin' gourami is, would be aggression. Though honey gouramies are very peaceful fish, they are not peaceful enough for the chocolate or nobilis which are both very easily stressed and realy should be kept in a species tank.
Also, both are considered harder than discus to keep and need a large tank in order to offer the chocolates the numbers they require to thrive and for stable water parameters that are essential for both those gourami's health. The nobilis, in particular, I have heard described as one of the most difficult freshwater tropicals to keep alive.
I doubt mixing those four species in a 10-15 gallon is possible. At the very least, the water parameters the nobilis require are extreem and the chocolates also have similar requirements which I doubt the honey gouramies would appreciate. As I said before, I don't know anything about the cichlid.
So basicaly, no to your original question.
If you are prepaired to get a larger tank and dedicate it to a single species (either chocolates or nobilis I mean) then you can try keeping them but mixing them with the honeys and possibly the cichlid might prove disastrous.
I think you may be better off with just the honeys, the cichlids (possibly - don't know) and if you want small, interesting gouramies, some croakers or sparkling gouramies.
