Is This Normal ?

When the tank light came on this morning (its pre set for 7-00am btw) for the daily fish feed,i noticed 2 of my Tiger Barbs acting as if they where really struggling to either stay upright and/or swim properly at all,they were swimming sort of curled around if that makes sense and splashing a fair bit as well ?. This weired behavour lasted for about 5 mins,then as if by magic the whole shoal (i have 7 of them) went into their usual feeding frenzy as the food went in ?

Did a water check - Ammonia 0,Nitrite 0,Nitrate around 40ppm - PH OK everthing still looks ok ?

What the hell went on here,never seen this happen before ?

Could have been shock when the light went on that stunned them for a while.

You could be right,last night I re set the timer for winter mode.

Normally in summer the fish get the light slowly and naturally as the sun come up .
