Hi,
Just joined and have a question about tiny, tiny thread like worms on the side of the tank. They really are minute and i was wondering if it could be infusoria? The tanks been going for about 3 months with no new additions apart from a couple of plants.
looking forward to browsing the forum!

Chances are that if you have something sort of worm-like, it is a planaria. Try a google and see if it is what you have. Infusoria are small copepods that move in a jerky fashion around your tank. they are not shaped at all like a worm.

Sorry Ruthie , didn't notice right away that you are new here. Welcome to the forums. Lots of people are here and are eager to help if you need it.

Sounds like planaria to me, too. They're usually in a tank, but aren't visible. They're harmless, and some fish will even eat them. An overabundance of food can cause them to reproduce to the point that you start noticing them. How often do you feed, do water changes, and gravel cleaning?
