Is This Bog Wood Safe Yo Put In My Tank?

Hi everyone

I've had this bit of wood setting about for about 4/5 years in my house and was wondering if its safe to use,its abit of a grey colour in places which put me off but it doesn't look like paint! What do you all think?

If in doubt, go soak it for a week in a container. Test the water before the soak, and test it after.......see if you get any unhealthy changes. If not then all is good. Bet it will float like a boat, if it ain't seen any wet stuff for 4/5 years. Better find a big old rock to sit on it so it sinks
