Hello Forum, I own a strikingly pretty severum (attached below) that I bought under the title "Green Severum." However, I'm seeing photos of the "Inirida Severum" that seems to match the physical appearance of mine more...
7-8 inches, beautifully patterned with beautiful green scales, red breast, and 5 vertical bands, super peaceful and social!
What are your thoughts?
Thanks!

What's rare in one place can be common in another, depending on local breeders, importers etc. So it's hard to say.

But if you ask if it's a beautiful sev, there's no question there. That one's a looker.

Thank you very much! Do you believe that it's an Inirida?

It could be. It's a looker for sure. Though no severum remains rare for long given how willingly they produce massive numbers of fry. There are several suppliers selling "Inirida" presently.

And there’s our old friend the Festivum too ! I love those .
I believe those may've been my first cichlids-and one of my favorite fish species all together. I have 4 (one is a different type than the other 3) and they are super social towards me! Very hardy fish too, one got into a "crab incident" resulting in the absence of its top jaw last year, and it is still going strong today!
