hi folks, been looking at this on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MARINE-REEF-NANO-TANK-AQUARIUM-CUBE-STEEL-BLACK-/230577452385?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Fish&hash=item35af7cb561#ht_2346wt_1038. was wondering if its a good starting point into marine? i sold a rio 180 a few weeks ago and the guy that came to buy it had 8 tanks, he was turning the rio 180 into a marine tank and i asked him if he was using a sump, he said no. i got chattting to him and it turns out his tank has been running 2 years with no protein skimmer or sump and he dosnt do water changes, they just top off the water when the level drops. he assured me running a marine tank is not as complicated as you would think. the kit on ebay has a protein skimmer etc, think the only thing i need is live coral sand and live rock? what would be the recomended intervals for changing water be if i kept a few fish and corals. i change 50% once a week in my malawi tank.
cheers
james
