Hi, in my 12 gallon tank i have: 2 platies, 2 gold barbs, 2 harlequin rasboras, 6 neon tetras and NO real plants i feed them 1 a day normally flakes but sometimes insects. My filter is called " niagara 300 POWER FILTER 230V-50hz. 4W. IPX4" is it a good filter? I have no idea if ive even put the right information :S it does 300 liters an hour

Ummmm.... seems like it is. How's it going? Is it filtering good? About the gold barbs.... barbs need big tanks and a 12 gallon might not work out. Just make sure you don't get anymore fish in that 12 gallon.

Tis a hang on the back filter. The last series of numbers are it's electrical stats, with mains requirement, power consumption and waterproofing status.

Popular type of filter in the states, but little used in the UK. The principle behind them is good.
