Is tank water dangerous?

I agree with that 100%, the first time I got a mouthfull of 80 degree saltwater from a tank it helped me understand why I live my freshwater tanks so much.

we put sypen into tank upside downand fill and lift . gravity takes over and water flows .re submerge syphen until full again .turn the syphen correct way up again and your away ..tadaaaah.

OR......... you put syphen in tank .connect hose to syphen end and turn tap on until hose is full. remove hose from syphen and the flow begins. no more

i know i must be silly but the tank water doesnt bother me... i just took out some shells i put in there... and now im eating lunch.... so.. it doesnt matter to me because ive been doing it since i got the tank so...
plus a bit of bad bacteria helps you fend off colds and stuff... well so i find anyway

I wouldnt worry too much. Just be sure to wash your hands with soap after having them in the tank. Do you have any idea how many germs are on a bank machine or money that you handle. Or even the counter at your local convenience store. The germs in our tanks are minor compared to that.

I was hoping people would realise of their own accord, since if they didn't, it would utterly destroy my faith in the intelligence of people here. just submerge it in water.

I doubt you and your family are all gonan contract ich though.

No seriously, if it was that dangerous, fishkeepers everywhere would be dropping like flies.

It was me with the throat infection & cold sores and it was caused by syphoning tank water with my mouth
Apparently it's not very common so i wouldn't worry
