Hi all I have a 240l 4ft and wondering I'm over stocked if so il be getting rid of the extra

I have
1 male dwarf gourami
1 male fighter (did buy 3 young females but ended up being 2 males in the group moved one)
1 female fighter
7 danios
6 ottos
6 cory
4 platy all female
5 male guppy (misses got these when I was at work......)

The tank doesn't look over stocked and I have no intentions of adding more fish
I know male gourami fighters aren't ment to mix but bad luck with female fighters as you can see.
Fish are all health and seem happy for around 5 months and no aggression

I don't think it's too bad, but gouramis and fighters don't mix well, also the male and the female fighter might take a dislike to each other. Also the male fighter might take a dislike to the guppies.

I keep an eye out for aggression all the time due to the gourami and male fighter. On a side note tho I've never had problems with fighters and guppy but I could just be lucky

I wouldn't say that's over stocked, but there are compatibility issues. The conversion makes your tank, 60-65 gal depending on my math :p I think you may be okay with your current stock just because your fish have so much room. They

If you wanted to make it more workable, I would suggest taking out the Male fighter, the female fighter and the Gourami may be okay - I don't know how aggressive the females get. It may be best to move both of them in all honesty. But the rest of your stock works just fine, and you're by no means over stocked.

1 Male Dwarf Gourami
1 Female Betta (Fighter)
7 Danios
4 Female Platys
5 Male Guppies
6 Otto's
6 Corys.

-Are all your cory's the same species? ie: Are they all Panda Corys or Pygmy Corys? They're happier when all their buddies look the same ;)

I think if you did some research you could straighten the stock out and make it a perfectly lovely tank in time - not that it isn't lovely now :p But it's just a little off, with the Betta's and the Gourami generally considered incompatible.

If you want to change your stock some I reccomend doing your research and if you're not sure about it than post here, this forum loooves to answer stock questions ;)

I have far more than that in my 180 ltr so maybe im over stocked

You probably are overstocked then, I'd say this tank is nicely filled in terms of the size of the adult fish.

However, as has already been said...
Mixing gourami and Betta is dangerous
Mixing Guppies and Betta is dangerous
Mixing male and female Betta is dangerous (even breeders have to watch like hawks and be ready to seperate at the blink of an eye)

All my corys are albino
The female is very calm a platy sometimes pushes her around
I watch the fighter with the gourami they have been together along time now with out probs
And guppy if I moved them out my misses would move me out lol
But all in all I keep a close eye on them il move the fighters if things change
