I reviewed your threads the other day but couldn't get an internet signal to respond. You seem to be doing all the right things and just haven't given it long enough for the first ammonia dosing to drop. It can take 2 or 3 weeks sometimes for that initial dosing to drop to zero, but its no problem after that, things will still go fine eventually. Hang in there.

Ammonia seems normal,

Nitrite seems to have one odd result.

Nitrate seems to be odd results - make sure you shake the bottle well as instructed.

The ammonia is the main one to watch at the moment though and that seems to be going well, when it's yellow top it back up to between 4 and 5ppm (once a day) - it'll probably need a couple of weeks before the nitrite starts to drop

I recently finished fishless cycling in my ten gallon tank, first time fishless cycling, too. I had the exact same thing happen to me with the nitrate. The next day my nitrate level went back to it's normal level, so I just thought it was me not performing the test correctly. Either way, like Tropical Fish said, nitrates aren't really a big deal, ammonia and nitrites are key. Also, keep periodically checking your ph level as well. High nitrates will lower your PH level and a low ph level will stall the bacteria growth you're looking for.

Hope all goes well.

Tonights results as follow ... Thanks for all the positive stuff last night made me fell so much happier that im on right track

Do i now add another 3ml of ammonia to the tank???

Yes, you dose back up to around 5 ppm of ammonia and watch what happens. It should drop faster the next time.

goodmorning,
put 3.5ml in last night at about midnight so will
check in moment to see whats happened in about9 hours
be back soon
