Is my Betta male or female?

Hi I need to know if my Betta is male or female

How old is the fish?
Fish under 6 months of age can be difficult to sex.

Female Bettas have a white ovipositor (egg laying tube), males have a dark one.

Male Bettas have a black beard (bit of skin under the gill covers), females don't.

Your fish has the black beard so is male.
