Since there are few captive info on land crabs out there, is it safe to assume that anything safe for hermit crabs to eat is also safe for land crabs?

if you mean a 100 percent land crab then i would search up the species and where it comes from and attempt to simulate its environment while evaluating the basic needs it would probably need e.g if its from the Amazon it will most likely like a dense jungle place with a small mount of freshwater that is shallow so the crab cant drown

I have no problems simulating its environment or any environment it will require. I'm just asking about food safety.

Species another issue. It resembles Cardisoma armatum or Gecarcinus quadratus but it isn't. Will get it IDed properly in a few.
