What are the circle things I am seeing stuck on to the side of tanks in some tanks that fish tend to group around, is it some sort of food disk please?

I think I remember seeing it on some photo's pm here, but certainly in other places. Thanks.

Could be freeze dried tubifex worms . Those press onto the glass and the fish horde around them . They’re in cubes about 1/2 inch square and flatten out when you press them onto the glass .

Serra O'nips (=fun nips) are crack for fish. I don't know of any fish that doesn't go ape- over that stuff! Bit pricey but fun way to get the fish out of the woodwork.

I have never been able to keep the tubiflex worms to stay on the glass, they are also a hit but not like the Serra O'nips

One word of caution: freeze dried tubifex and freeze dried bloodworms are the fast track to constipation, bloat and dropsy symptoms for many species, bettas especially. FD daphnia is ok in that regard. There are many more nutritious and less risky foods to consider instead, all the frozen food options chief among them.

Since I don't like to smoosh the tubifex worms to the glass I don't think its a big issue. I will hydrate them for ~10-15 min and then tear them apart (as best I can) or hold the cube in the tank and let the fish help themselves; occasionally I will have a rascal steal it from me and swim around the tank playing keep away. Also its a supplement given maybe once or twice a month. I don't have anything else freeze dried. Bloodworms, daphnia, and cyclops are frozen and also a 1-2 times a month enrichment, except for my eels which get jumbo bloodworms and cut up shrimp and the Borneo gets worms because he's fussy (boring, lol).
