I was wondering if this tape is ok to use i not I will cancel my order on eBay .I wanted something to mount my aquarium light to the lid because the suction cups suck because they don't suck if this is toxic what would you recommend instead?

Are you looking to attach the light on top of the lid, or inside the tank on the lid? Perhaps there are better alternatives like velcro strips?

Ok the Velcro was my original choice but I was looking for a cheaper options but if that's the only safe way I'll go that route

Sorry I would not trust anything to hold up.your light and keep it out of the water. If it falls in the water that's not good at all. On the inside of the lid the humidity is probably too high for any adhesives long term.

On 2nd thought I'll probably just find a way to zip tie into the lid I'll let y'all know if it works or not

Maybe some sort of waterproof epoxy? I just don't want your light to fall in the water and cause a short or something even worse.

It's a submersible light with suction cups but the suction cups sometimes fail I'm trying to eliminate this problem.

Cyanoacrylate (superglue) is non-toxic to fish when it's dry.
I have some waldo clean super glue but what I was wondering is will it hold up ? I use it to glue my plants driftwood or rocks I want to save money by using what I already have.

I wouldn't worry about toxicity as much as failure of the system. The glue isn't likely to fall with the light when it goes, though it wouldn't be good if it did. It may be waterproof, but that won't be frustration proof.

Is your light water proof or will condensation (which will also break the bond with velco or tape) destroy them. Also why is your lid black ?

Or I could tie it with fishing line by poking holes with thum tacs then tying the fishing line to the light to give it extra hold support with the suction cups
