I can get baby common pleco's and.sailfins for $8.

One.of my local fish only stores has 3 10 inch or more commons in a.tank. They wan't $30 each for them. Trade in's cause people don't.realize how big they get at petsmart.

I can tell you from.experience, when that oscar is fully grown, they will demolish anything in that tank if they want.to. I seen one suck a hole through another 8 inch cichlid when it was bothered by it. They got in a fight, the oscar got on the others side and a hole appeared through the victim. It was my friends tank. He left.it in.there and the oscar eventually ate most of it. It was an 8 inch cichlid! All that was left was a head and a spine.

I also seen a common pleco go toe to toe with it. The common pleco was uninjured. Remember, these catfish are armoured. Most times, a fish will try and eat them, only to find.out fast their dorsal fin is pretty pointy and they don't chew so easy. They wind up getting spit out. A smaller species would prolly get ate, but not an adult common or sailfin.
