Is 50 watt heater to big for 32l fish tank

Hello,

First time posting. Is my 50 watt heater to big for my 32 liter fish tank. The room temperature does drop abit of a night.
 
Hello Fishguy. For proper tank heating, just figure on 1 watt of heat for every liter of water. So, your 32 liter tank has plenty of heat with that 50 watt heater.

More to it than that, the ambient room temperature plays a vital role...see the link I provided above

Hi Slap. You're so right. The tank's lighting also plays a small part. But, the above rule will give you a little extra if the need arises.
