Hi just bought myself an ipod and i was wondering where was the best place to get my music and movies (cheap if not free)

You can't get free music anymore sadly. I would suggest a subscription place like what napster has turned into. Too bad you didn't get a Zune, you can subscribe to the Zune Marketplace and get basically unlimited songs as long as you pay 5 to 10 dollars a month for your license.

you can make your own, from cd's videos and the like. or use something like bitorrent or emule. making mp3's and vids with something like winavi, will get round the spying software that itunes puts on your comp. though it is a good bit of software for making mp3, i have never used itunes for that, lol try running itunes without an internet connection, it ties itself in knots trying to report what you have done.

cheap or free music is all over the net, you just need to look.

...but it is illegal.

making copies of cd's you own is not illegal, though making many is!! and if you edit the song, like making it shorter or changing the tempo, its yours for free wherever you got it, as it becomes an arrangement by you! believe it or not there is nothing illegal about making ring tones for your phone, warnings for your comp. but selling them is!

as for downloading songs, it may be illegal, but it is done. so the comment you cant get music from the internet for free is wrong.

i fully respect you wish not to break the law. however try remembering that as you park for a second on a double yellow line, travel at 32 in a 30 zone or do the odd u turn to help you back on your way. all these are illegal too, potentially far more than copying a song.

humm im a emule man myself, its not as fast as some, but comes with no spyware, and the only viruses are in the files you download, and all theses are spotted by my anti virus software.

its easy to set up and i can honestly say i have never had a problem with anything it has done. firewall can be tricky to set up though.

Use FrostWire, same thing as LimeWire, but better. Though LoudFusion.com has a lot of free music...

Lol

Limewire is best

My friend has limewire, but she just downloads songs for me and sends them to me, can't be bothered downloading limewire, twould probably mess up my computer.
limewire really sucks

did you get that recommendation from me?

as for the original question do the right thing go bye the cd and rip it to your itunes library

What i do is i download LimeWire Pro off the normal LimeWire.

or alternitvly go to www.albumbase.com

millions of free full albums, but you need WinRAR to open them because they are compressed RAR files.
