Should be possible, I've got my work email on mine. You might need your IT people to give you server details etc.

Most companies don't enable active sync on their exchange server to prevent everyone downloading work related e mails on peoples phones.

Check with your server admin if active sync is enabled, if enabled you need the settings, if not then you wont be able to.

Yep, I also have my works email on the iphone - you just need the server setting - our techie even did mine for me
