Hi! We are a family of four who have just adopted their first turtle (African Sideneck). We were inspired when we found a yellow belly slider baby in the woods near our house, we named him Donatello. He had been in the middle of the trail, and possibly stepped on, or ran over. He had an injury to one of his eyes, and a cut on his neck. We took him to the nature center near the trail, where he died two days later with his new roommate, Tyler the turtle. We adopted Tina turtle two days later. We just want to make sure that she has a full and happy life! I posted in a beginners thread some questions I have about her, and hopefully we can ensure that she thrives and is happy!
