Interpet Internal Filter

Hey guys and gals.

Got a new filter for the 35L tank delivered yesterday in the form of an interpet PF1. Thought it looked decent enough and liked the idea of the one way valve on the bottom to stop it dropping gunk into the tank when you switch it off, like my old one did.

However, after setting it up, it's really buzzy and noisy. I've tried taking it apart again, switching it off and back on, etc. Don't think it's air bubbles in it either. It's fully submerged with the venturi off.

Don't know if it's just this model of filter is really loud or if there's something wrong with mine. Anyone else have one that could lend some experience?

New filters are sometimes noisy until the impellor has 'bedded' in, so you might want to give it a day or too before you think aboput returning it or whatever.

i have an interpret filter, mine is the PF2, dont worry about it they will always most probably be a bit noisy at first then they settle down and they are almost silent the venturi switch on my filter doesn't even work anymore lol

My pf2 has only just gone silent after a year...

mines weird haha one day its silent another its noisy as hell lol!

I have the pf2 and It's annoying as hell tbh. I cleaned mine after a month of having it and before I cleaned it it was silent now its really noisy, checked its all together properly and have it a good shake to make sure no air but almost a week after cleaning it It's still really noisy that's why I'm looking at changing to a external filter and having this as a back up

ive had mine about a month now and its noisy as hell..i had it in my bedroom tank, had to swop it with the kitchen one.
