hi all.
hope you all had a great christmas & have a happy new year !!
My Nutrafin aqua plus bottle is finished and i have bought Interpet Bioactive Tapsafe, Aquarium Water Dechlorinator, it says use 1ml per 9 litres of water, i assume that means 1ml per 9 litres of fresh water im changing (roughly a 10% water change), not 1ml per 9 litres of the total tank capacity?
many thanks

Correct. There is no benefit to over-dosing conditioners (quite the opposite in a sense) notwithstanding the contrary advice of some manufacturers.

Having looked this product up to see just what it has in it...I would recommend you consider another conditioner when this one is used up. One ingredient is aloe vera, allegedly to protect fish slime or something, but recent studies have found aloe vera damages fish gills over time, so it is not something to use. I had the same problem with Nutrafin's AquaPlus, another conditioner to be avoided due to aloe vera. The other claims concerning enzymes and biological waste are a bit un-necessary, or should be, and rather dubious, so nothing will be lost on this account if you change conditioners.

A Happy New Year to you too.:drinks:

Byron.
