so another of the things I've been working on, is a 20 year old enclosed cargo trailer, that I'll be receiving ownership from my work, upon retirement... I'm kind of turning it into a "camper / toy hauler" leaving the cargo back end, & filling the insulated 24 foot "V" nose trailer with creature comforts, up in the "V" nose, for camping or traveling, for weekend trips in the future... you have seen the Featherweight trailers, with a black feather sticker on them... I'm considering putting a black anvil sticker on the front, as this will be a quite heavy trailer, but capable of trailering a car, or other toy if desired... I have a space that could be a dining area, but the trailer has an awning, so most likely we would almost always make use of that for eating...

I have an extra 55 gallon aquarium right now, & thought about putting it in that spot, with 2-4 inches deep of water in it, & 30-50 % land mass, inside the tank... obviously it would have to be drained for winter, but it could make an interesting conversation piece, at the camp grounds...

my main concern would be durability... being a standard glass aquarium... curious if you think an acrylic would be more durable... I have an acrylic set up, that has my Bichir in that one, that I could swap for the new glass aquarium... I know they are durable, as back in the 1980's that same tank was a reef tank, & was sitting on the head board, of a standard for the time, water bed, and one night the base of the water bed collapsed, and the aquarium was & is still fine, with a 10- 12 inch drop...

anyway thoughts on the tank, and a couple amphibians, and enough water for a few fish, like maybe White Cloud Mountain Minnows, or similar???

USB powered Live well air pumps abound, to run a few sponge filters... LED Lighting, most use USB hook ups, no heater... but I could easily install a USB outlet bank, by that area... and could add a back up battery, to the trailer, for times the trailer and tow vehicle aren't connected...

Splish splash, slosh, sloosh, whack!!!

I once moved a 20 long with one inch of water and plants galore, as well as 8 rummy nose tetras. My friend driving had to hit the brakes, and the tetras slammed into the glass on the fly. 2 survived the trip.

I've already thought about weights in motion... the tank would be far better across the front, leaving liquid to only move the width of the tank... 4 inches of water leaves like a foot of sidewall height... unfortunately, the tank would have to position along the side, but it will help greatly adding 1/2 of the width, with land mass...

also if the acrylic tank were used, the top is welded on, with access holes cut in the center, which would greatly reduce out splashing... and with a heavy weight 24 foot cargo trailer, you drive defensively, & really try not to "slam on the brakes"
