Hey guys, i'm new to the forum. Anyway, i have a arawana thats been with me for the last 4 yrs. Well, over the weekend when i was back at the folks, i realized she had a hole on her lower jaw. (sorry guys, trying to express in lay men's term). According to my mum, this occurred a couple days back.
By the way it looks, she would have jumped and hurt herself. Believe it or not, i could see her tongue. I know she's in real pain and discomfort as she's not had anything to eat ever since. Well, i'm from Malaysia, and when i talked to a couple aquarium shop owners, they recommended me to put in some anti-biotic which they sold to me. Told me to drain half the water out in 3 days and top up with fresh water and to also add the remaining anti biotic.
Is there anything else i can do to get her wound healed faster? The question is would it heal, as i really don't want to loose her! Guys, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead!

A general rule of thumb for open wounds is to make sure the water is perfect, this will stop infections. Dose the antibiotics as per recommended quantity and continue to do so until the wound is healed or the meds tell you to stop.

Awe so sorry to hear! :rip:

Sometimes we just can't do enough to help a fish out quick enough. Sorry for your loss.
