I did something terrible- I went and bought three new (unplanned for) fish  . Thankfully I'm fairly sure they won't be a problem (i had looked up one of the species previously and the LFs man is pretty good for info). So I ended up with 2x apistogramma agassizi (1m 1f) who have now astablished a 1ft square territory to the right of the the tank and 1x apistogramma hongsloi (m) he's almost neon pink :fun: I will be getting a female for him once they come back in stock. He's taken to the flower pot which is to much in shadow to get a photo
they're all in the 120L I'm bouncing of the walls at the moment

Sadly only the male agassizi comes up it photos- my camera refuses to focus on the female

how terrible have I been?

One of my favourite fish, Just be carefully having a pair of each type in a tank that size. They should be ok aslong as theres alot of hiding spots.

Lol. We've all done the impulse buy thing. That's how I ended up with my Betta (and my Honey G. and my GBRs. and my Ember Tetras.) I always say fish to me are what shoes are to other women. :D

Lovely looking fish by the way.

I did that with my yellow pingu guppies

really nice fish though. was thinking about a trio of these as a tank centre piece. they do good in a community tank? my stock and tank details in my sig!

Couldn't see it being a problem in with any of them as long as your not hoping for many of the livebearers fry to survive. Make sure if getting a trio its 1 male 2 females.

impulse buys can be the best kind provided they turn out well theres just something a bit more fun about it  I can relate to that, I need dragging out to get new shoes but its got to the point the LFs know who I am :XD:
and thanks :D

I seem to be developing a liking for cichlids I love their smiles and the way the just suddenly stop. There's two proper cave set ups and I'm gowing a bit of a hygrophila forest for them all. I'll add more If it seems like they need it, probably build a few more caves for them; they seems to really like them.

Yeah ive always had a thing for cichlids, they seem to have more of a personality than most other fish. That sounds good to me, the only problem i could see is if they breed the other pair might be in for a bit of a beating.

If the breed I have an excuse to another tank  Failing that I could probably shuffle them over to the 90 ltre temperarily or section half the tank off or something. Thanks for the info :D

I'm pretty sure all my fish have been bought that way xD the only one i planned for was a female betta which I knew I wanted in my 56L then i just go to my LFS every 2 weeks and picked a few I liked, asked about them and bought them :) Fully stocked now :D

5 male guppies
5 rummy nose tetras
2 flame tetras
2 black stripe tetras
2 pearl guoramis (1m 1f)
1 female betta

I was told that they were fully grown and will be fine in my aquarium but i have changed my LFS as I wasn't happy with them and I have started to fear that myself :/ I do have another 30L that I may have to service for them to live in on their own

30l would be even worse; they need at least 70 or 80l, just for a pair with no tankmates. They should get to at least 10 cms/4".

I bought Mr Swirls on an impulse buy. My plec L333 for £30. He was about 1/2" when I got him now he is 1 1/2 in just 3 months.

I love the name  just googled them; they look beautiful and it's always nice realising how much a fish has grown, I just noticed the other day my neons have bulked up and gained 1/2 cm (which sounds pathetic against Mr Swirls)
