Does this impeller shaft look normal? It feels smooth. Not sure what the black spit is that's on it. My filter was loud and making a rattling noise. I bought a new impeller and it helped, but it still makes a slight rattle so I bought a new impeller shaft too. But if there's nothing wrong with this one I was going to return the new one.
