I'm worried...

whatdaya know? the water was not good enough so the clowns were stressed...I GUESS I WAS RIGHT...

and i am so sure your tank is cycled because you have a discus in it...

NOT!!!

If you added the clowns about a week ago that could explain the nitrite reading. Nitrites usually take longer to show up than ammonia does. It also takes longer for the bacteria that "takes care of" nitrites to catch up. That would be my guess as to the reading. Adding new fish can sometimes cause this. I'd just test daily until your readings return to normal and keep an eye on your fish to make sure they remain healthy. Don't add additional stress (like moving the log to "force" them out). When they are feeling better, they'll behave normally!

Incidentally, you were not right. You initially said "...sound like they are stressed or..NOT HEALTHY!". That doesn't translate to "you have a water quality issue". Stress can be caused by any number of things. And "not healthy" is a not helpful diagnosis, since he already suspected they may not be healthy without your help.

Immaturity has no business on these boards... we are here to help one another... if you don't like him just stay off his threads.

hahahaha...i guess your right..oh well.. :(

Phew... potential catastrophe averted... I just got up and the clowns are fine and they are swimming around, as active and alert as ever. I just fed 'em some shrimp pellets. And BTW, kevin... just shut up. I told you I don't want to talk to you anymore, since I don't engage myself with anyone who has the maturity and the vocabulary of a four-year-old. I have seen some of your previous posts since our big "fight" and even though I was severely tempted, I didn't reply to a single one. So why do you still insist on shoving your nose into my business? Unless you have helpful advice to give (as if), don't even bother. If your aim is to "piss" me off, well good luck. I look at people like you as small distractions in life, like flies that need to be swatted away... not sources of unrelentless anger or angst, as you seem to believe. Just get lost!

PS Looks like you're the one that holds grudges, because you started this...
