You guys are great and have really made me laugh.

You are right, I certainly will drop in an algae wafer next time i'm round and if i get chance when they are not looking, I might sneek out a bit of water (or get the kids to!).

(by the way is one algae wafer enough for a 4 inch plec my bristlenose is only 3/4 inch and he eats 1/2 a wafer all to himself)

i normally put in about 2/3 in my tank because my bloomin mollies think its nice to eat the waffers to prevent the brislenose pleco from eating them... Buthe eats about one a day or two
He's learnt not to take no sh*t from any one lol he just barges them outta the way now and chaces them round the tank when they disturb him... he has attitude... he dont even let them in his lil ornament i like to call the colluseum or ruins

Yeah, you go girl. Take it even when she's watching. If she doesn't care about her fish, then she won't care about you taking a little bit of water out.

and if she does, well then...just get crafty!

When I got my first fish I used to watch them all the time...feed them all the time....and a lot of them died....when I stopped worrying about them and just did what I had to do (water changes, once a day feeding etc)....they were a lot healtheir and stopped dying....
