This is the first time ever I have heard clown loaches 'talking' first hand.
They started yesterday and haven't stopped since, and they are only tiny (5cm).

It has my cats freaked out

Wish I had something to record my babies' 'first words' with, lol :D

Anybody else had this happen? (Isn't it the greatest?!)

Proud fish mummy :D

My clowns often "talk" while they are eating. Oddly enough, the little buggers don't feed off the bottom, they come to the surface like most my other fish and eat up everything there (the pigs). They have just recently started doing it while they play with eachother. I am so glad I got clown loaches; their entertainment value is worth the money I paid!

Yup, they make cute clicking noises that are really loud.

pnyklr3, try sticking some cory tabs or spirulina tabs to the side of the glass, and it's a whole new show :D

they talk!? Cool! I cant wait for mine to do that! But first I need them to come out from hiding ( I got them on saturday and its been 4 days) are they normally shy? or does it take a while.....

They are shy at first, but once they become confident, you'll realise it was worth the wait :D.

I was told they wouldn't start clicking until they are much older, so it was a surprise.

Bala Sharks talk as well, can't wait for mine to start!

I can vouch for the Bala shark thing. I've got three and the big one is about 9" and makes a right racket when he eats!!!

Oh great news! I was wondering if they would ever come out from behind their rock! One has been brave lately so Im hoping the other will follow.
Bring on the talking! :hyper: My cories will just look at them funny when they eventually do

Should make a CD recording... could make lots of $$$$... kind of like the CD's you buy with dolphins singing, lol

Yep, my clowns are always yacking away :D

That is SO not fair. :(

I've had mine for at least 3 weeks and fed them all sorts of different food in an attempt to find their favourites and they've yet to make the smallest sound.

For those of you that want to hear but don't have loaches.

Check this out Clicking loaches

They sound like popcorn!

Please click for me little loach dudes.
