Hi guys and galls,
Just checked my tank and found my female guppy dead. but upon closer inspection i found she was (or had been) giving birth.

as she was in a community tank, only managed to save 2. but i have driftwood, some tall plants and short plants. Even some fake plants.

im hopeing a few have managed to get to safety, and there mothers last efforts wern't invein.

im going to concentrate on the 2 I managed to save, but i am not holding on to much hope...

sorry to hear about the loss :( , and good luck with the fry you managed to save :)

Thanks, Good to see another night owl here ^_^

You should not have any trouble with the fry. Guppy fry are easy ones to raise as long as they don't get eaten. They are often much tougher than their parents because they are born and raised right in your tank instead of a large fish farm. Feed them on crushed flake food like you would feed the adult guppies and they will usually thrive.

Not a night owl here but just living in another part of the world.

All i can do is my best... Maybe the 2 fry can replace the mom i lost... at least i hope

I can get you them if you like

Just give me a day or two.

i dont want to stress them out yet :p

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm dealing with one myself but she didn't have any fry. Good luck with the little ones. =)

Ok, as requested here are the photos of the 2 fry. They wouldn't stay by each other to get a "group" shot so...

There we go... They are really tiny about 1.4mm... so excuse the blur.

They are soo cute! They look kinda big though. Are you sure they haven't been in the tank for longer? What are you feeding them?

So sorry about the poor mum, but they are very cute babies & I bet there are a few more in the tank hiding too.
