identify this plant?

Hi,
i went to my lfs today and got some new plants. Can you tell me what this one is, its round about the size of an egg and it looks like regular moss, it is completely round and dark green. I got it cos I thought it was cute and my fish might like to spawn in it!! Can you identify it for me and tell me if it will grow nicely and maybe spread like a carpet, that would be cool! B)

I was searching the internet and I found something that looked similar to my moss. Its called Vesicularia dubyana, anyone know about this and does that sound right?

i just posted something about this plant in the aquarium pics section a day or 2 ago.....its called Cladophora aegagropila or Marimo ball, it comes from a lake in Japan & as far as i know it cant be found anywhere else.

Is this it?

Yeah thats it! I unrolled mine and tied it to a rock, you think it will grow??
