Idea's For Fish For My Tank Please

LPS is a large-polyped stony coral. These usually include open and closed brain corals, any corals with large polyps and usually a large corallite based skeleton. Most require moderate lighting...some high lighting. SH

Very pretty tank and a nice purchase, I like clowns. Pretty clowns. :good: But I am intrigued that you were considering Dwarf Angels.

I like your LR arrangement. How did you stabilize it? Especially the top left corner. Looks precarious to me, but if it's secure.

Unless, I've totally messed up my conversions, you're at the large end of the nano spectrum at about 30g, right?

thanks :D :D

hmmmm not sure how many gals it is to be honest think your about right thou

the rock formation comes after many hours of aquascaping i'm sure we've all been there
but they all seem to fit together like a jigsaw as they are at the momment and are quite secure i didn't like the idea of fixing together nor drilling and using tie wraps etc.

i spent an whole afternoon(prob about 3 hours) with arm in tank one day turning rock this way then that is this a record lol lol

i'm still thinking about having a dwarf angel to be honest not sure which type yet still researching but really like the dwarf lemon peel.

i guess your not to sure i should?

clowns been in about 2 days now seemed to have settled well and are already coming up to front of tank whenever i sit down next to them and are feeding well watching them and the peppermint shrimp race for the food is very funny think old shrimpy is a bit fed up and not used to having competion

Don't look at me, I'm just learning here. I do not have a SW tank, my area is planted tanks, but I'm doing research with hopes of getting either a 30g or a 20g long in the future. So I spend some time reading these threads, making general comments, and asking questions. I had always thought angels were a no-no, at least they are never present in any nano fish lists I've seen or on some reef lists, but I've always wanted one. There are a few dwarfs that I think are native to the Caribbean, which is the area I'd like to recreate when I finally go nano. Though technically I already have since I have several nano planted tanks. What has your research told you?

Dwarf angels are generally reccomended a tank of at least 30 gallons.

After owning one i agree with the people who say a 50 gallons+ is more ideal. They like to swim around the rock all the time and hardly ever stay still. In a small tank they don't have enough room to dart between the rock and glass ect. I think this is how my angel caught his eye :(

like sf05 ive heard and read that the min for dwarf angels is about 30 gals, my tank is quite tall and has a good space for swimming so i'm hoping one fish added to my clownies will be ok but i'm still looking and learning but would like to try a lemon peel if i can

latest pics of tank and clownies :D :D

well i was gonna go for small fish and swap em out, but i kno i was prob gonna get clown i wanna have a variety and no mean reefers or fish so would it be better to get a clown pair or just one, when i go to my lfs im getting 1 or 2 fish at the max and a small baby coral or something that is cool looking that can host a clown later on maybe... and thats heavy duty.. or whatever you call it, i do know im getting all my inverts first and things that dont swim waiting a month or 3 then getting a pair of fish..
