Just wanting ideas really, I'm in no rush to do this, as my oscar is still in there for now.
I have a 510 litre/112 UK gallons 6ft x 2ft x 18". In there (not including the oscar) are:
1 x 6" vieja intermedium
2 x 3" female convicts
2 x 3" clown loaches
2 x raphael talking catfish
1 x 14" gibbiceps
I was wanting to add another plec, but to be honest, I've not got enough money to spend on a fancy one, and commons or another gibby might be too much for my tank to cope with.
I was wondering if there is one more fish I could add that wouldn't push my tank to the limits, as we've rehomed some fish to make tank maintenance easier and our oscar is still looking for a home. I'm permanently on crutches now and cant lift/bend so hubby's doing all the maintenance for me.
Any ideas? Would another small cichlid be pushing it? A firemouth perhaps? Or is there a pretty, yet small-ish plec that's easily available that doesn't go over 8-10 inches max, that could cope with the cichlids?
I'm only really asking as it would be nice to know for the future, because for now, my lovely oscar is still with us, and he's too soft to cope with too many new arrivals. The convicts only arrived this lunchtime!
