While they seem fine to you at the moment, it's not going to last. There is no point asking advice if you are going to take no notice of it.
Keeping so many fish in a tank that size is cruel and you really should consider taking some back.

ok well listen il take the fire mouth back and the green severum back but im goin skiing to
the french alpes on sat and im in scool all the other days would they be ok for about 9-10 days.

You should really take the Pictus back as well, they are active fish and need a lot bigger tank than a 12.5 gallon.
The Plecio will also need to go as it will grow far too big for your tank.

No one said anything about taking you off the site.

Its good that you are listening but you must take them back before you leave for skiing as you may well come back to a massacre.

Ask a parent to take you in after school tomorrow.

Severums are a nice cichlid, in the right environment.

THE PLEC WILL be ok when i get back from skiing thats not so urgant but the fire mouth and the green
severum are the main ones. il go afterscool tomorrow.
then when i get home from skiing i will take the pictus back as a cant take him back before
skiing as the aquarium i got him from is in wavertree.
thanks for the advice

Gotta love your spelling, im surprised you managed to get all the fish names correct in your profile... or was that a cut and paste job?

Hehe couldnt resist :)

Your tank is ridicuously over crowded and I cant believe you have the cheek to say that us fish keepers who go by the proper ratio are to generous...maybe thats because we are not animal cruelty people like you obviously are.

And heres a tip, read over what you have written before you press "add reply" because you repeat yourself so often.

Do we have a slapping my head smiley?

A severum?! When exactly are you going to stop cramming fish into your tank?

I see the word "scool" in your message so can only assume you are a very naive child, because seriously - after all the advice you've had, I cant believe you've added more fish. A small fish I could nearly understand, but a fish with the potential of 10-12"?! Is this for the imaginary 30g? Try multiplying that by two, and then adding another hundred at least for all your other fish. As a school kid, can you seriously fit a 6ft tank in your room?

Please stop buying fish now. Take back the plec, BGK, severum, firemouth, and pictus - TODAY! There's time after "scool" to get it done. Or maybe you could get your mum or dad to do it if you cant? After all, they should be taking some of the responsibility for this....

well the one i seen today must have been a baby as it was only about 2" but isnt it
true if you get the fish whilst its small it will only grow so much before it stops as there will not be enough
room for it to grow any more.

Yes thats called stunting, the equivalent of placing you in a box when you were a child, a box thats not big enough for a fully grown adult and keeping you in it for life. Also known as cruel torture. It wont go in your 12.5 gal im afraid

living in a box....living in a cardboard box. lol

Attacking a child isnt going to achieve anything.

We have to assume this is a child anyway.
In the interests of your fish you should take back all your fish and start again. This time read on the adult size of the fish and assume you wont be upgrading the tank in the near future.
Start off with 10 tetras and a couple of otos for the algae.

I dont attack children, if I did I would be in prison, and I have 5 of my own so it's not as if I'm some nasty kid-hater. There is a vast difference between telling someone how it is, and attacking someone. Of course, if you mean "give stern advice to on an internet forum", then that's a different matter. But I dont attack anyone, thank you.

Black_Molly - why dont you get your mum/dad online, and let them read all your threads, and all the advice that's been posted etc, and see what they can do to help? They might be more inclined to listen to and take in the advice given, and able to return them for you so you dont miss school, or buy you a more suitable tank?

A bit defensive there Lisa as my post wasnt directed at anyone in particular, just the way the thread was going.

I don't see anything indicating BA's post was aimed directly at you Lisa. There are far too many negative comments in this thread as a whole and I think BA is just trying to get it back to a level of constructive criticism. :good:

I think the negative comments have arisen from a general frustration due to blackmollys inability to take the good advice offered on board and act upon it.

I would like to think that from her last post or two she has realised this and we may have 'turned the corner'. If not we can always recommend our old friend google as an alternative to here.

I agree that BA's comment was not aimed at you Lisa, i read it to be in general.

Completely agree with the sentiment - it's just the style that needs attention. :good:
