Ick Question

Well its my first time having a tank with ick. I have 2 29 gallon tanks set up, one is a tropical community and the other a goldfish. I noticed my Black Moor has white spots growing over its body a few days ago but haven't been able to react with meds till today. I know this is the tropical section but I thought since the only dif between the 2 tanks was temp it would be quicker to ask here quickly. The med I bought was Mardel Coppersafe as well as some aquarium salt for some good measure, I dosed the tank with right amount, increased the aeration of the tank by using an air stone and lowering the water level to allows for my filter to make some more air flow as well. I also plan to limit feeding to every few days.

My questions are:

Should I use salt with the medication?

How often should I be doing water changed?

Should I be watching for anything special during this time?

Am i right to assume that this will take awhile longer since I am doing this in coldwater and they grow at a slower rate?

I wouldn't mix salt and meds, go for one or the other. (not used that med before, but normally they say on the label not to mix with salt and not to increase temp)

The more water changes the better, 25% every day to get rid of any parasites at the water borne stage

The lower temp will mean the lifecycle will be slower but the medication should cover that side of things for you i'd say.

I also have one of those Eheim Sludge Extractor, would that be a good thing to use on a daily basis with everything else?

It is a long read, but well, well worth it.
