I Wonder .........

I think adding to mirror to a tank to "make it look bigger" is tacky because I have never seen a tank with a mirror on it and with the size tanks you have it would make no point trying to make it look bigger because they are already big and IMO it would insult the tank by having a mirror in it. I know if I got a big enough mirror to cover the back of my 55g it would just look ugly and I would suggest you to get a blue or black background, it will look alot better for the money you spent on the tanks.

thanks for the advise and so i did

black is alot better and i noticed that my fishes color stands out more

so its good............................................................

one more question my background is a black plastic board

i could either put it inside the tank -thus not having to clean it and wipe down the glass of the aquarium

or i could put it behind my aquarium

im trying to figure out what to do

and if it would cause any trouble if i put it in

Keep it on the outside, its always safer

i think i might just put it in ill have to make sure that its "flush " agains the glass so

alge dosent build up in there

maybe ill glue it
(with fish safe glue or silicon glue )

i dono where ill find that

bc water (from humidity ) comes in and makes bloches of water

im 100% sure that the plastic wouldnt harm them

its the glue im worried about

maybe in the end i wont use glue
:/

That's why you think it would look tacky ;)
I have seen a tank with a mirrored back and it looked fantastic IMO. Added much more depth

Dude, just use tape, that is what I use to hold the background up on my tanks and it holds fine and water doesn't get between it and the glass.

yes but my question was if i should put it inside my tank or on the outside

but i allready dicided

its on the outside ..
