Has anyone ever used bamboo in a tank before? I have a small bamboo plant and I think it would go great in my tank but I don't know if it is ok to completely submerge it or if it will be ok with my fish or if my fish will eat it and die.

lucky bamboo gets used in tanks all the time and doesn't cause any problems. Don't have it too deep in the water. Maybe have the bottom 6 inches of plant in the water and the rest above the surface.

You can always cut and dry the bamboo. Then have it completely underwater. Or have it resting on a bit of wood or rock so it can sit high enough out of the water. You would get a mass of roots growing around the wood and that would look kind of cool.
