Hi, I have. Large 250ltr tank that just has guppies, lots of fry, cherry shrimp and 3 large bamboo shrimp.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a fish that could potentially keep the guppy population in check but would not harm the shrimp? Not sure such a fish exists??
Happy to keep my fry though, so any other larger fish that would happily live amongst them would be great!!

Cant' recommend a specific fish - but to leave the shrimps alone you would wnat a fish that hunt exclusively on the surface where the guppies hang out when frys. I have my doubt that any fish that pig out on guppy frys would leave small shrimp alone though i once saw an adult shrimp whack my fish on the nose when it go too close and he left it alone after that ;)

That's gonna be a hard thing to answer. Yes, there are enough fish species which could keep the number of guppy fry down but one that will leave also the shrimp alone is tricky. I have fish combined with shrimp but this also means that no fry nor shrimps will be eaten. But a fish that will eat guppy fry, will also eat shrimp in general.
