I think he is sick, because he keeps breathing fast, he's not eating much, and he's acting funny in general.I was curious, what if he doesn't have it, and I put the medication in, will it hurt him? I've never had a sick fish before. I just tranferred him to his new tank yesterday, could he still be adjusting?

What could it be?
He doesn't have that gold or rust colored dusty stuff, so It's probably not velvet. Could be though.

We might need some more information to help you through this...

First off - what kind of fish is it that is sick - is he in a tank with other fish? What are your water parameters - such as ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH? You say you just moved him into another tank - it could be as simple as stress due to new surroundings... to the shock from different pH water... different temps... or if he was newly introduced to another fish??

We'll need some more info to help!

He's a betta... He's by himself, and the tank is a 2 gallon. He was way too aggressive so I moved him into a completely cycled tank. I moved hime yesterday.

I guess it looks like he swallowed a small marble then? Poor guy... you might need to fast him a couple of days then try giving him some pea (frozen/thawed and de-shelled)... just a tiny bit of the meat of the pea. That usually gets things moving...

It's not that bad, but it looks more along the lines of 5 of those little lead balls that you buy for a bb gun.

least you know what it is now, hope he gets better soon :)
