According to thinkfish.co.uk I have space for 240cm of fish and with my selection i'm using 128cm unless i just have 2 Gouramis (1 Male 2 Female).

are you calculating with adult sizes or current size?

I used the very generic "1 inch per 1 US gallon"

You have a 180 L tank = 47.55 Gal

So you're looking at ~50 inches of fish. None of your fish are really big, so the rule will work reasonably well for picking stocking limits.

50 inches = 127 cm, so I'm not really sure how you/that webpage gets 248 cm?
