i did a 90% then 25% then ive just done 10 litre and ive still got 0.25 ammonia

im going to do 50% before i go to bed but all this waterchanging must be killing the bactiria in the filter

changing your substrate may not have helped. many folks think that the only reliable source of the bacteria is IN the filter. not so. they cover everything in the tank. think of all that surface area youve just replaced. your filter will "catch up" but i have a feeling the substrate change is affecting ammonia processing at this point. keep the faith and dont give up...worth it in the end!!!!

yeah i was just getting so much crap up from on and under the gravel i thought this was why my ammonia kept getting high but not my nirite

right since my last WC last night it was only 0.25 ammonia this morning so i did a 50% to tie me over until i fishish work at 3
