I really like being able to see bright colored shrimp, in a tank full of fish

there are 3-4 in this tank, I can almost always see 1 or 2 of them, just about any time I look...

saw 3 cherry shrimp this morning... it's been about a week, since I saw more than 2 of them, but lots of hiding spots...

well... I have literally more than 100 cherry shrimp in my breeder tank right now, and since I seem to have them surviving in my Hillstream tank, I'm going to start transferring more to that tank, out of the breeder tank...

my Cherry breeding colony has been doing great, , as I've pulled 3 times out of it so far... I gifted about 10, to a buddy with a 75 gallon tank, about 6 months ago, and he just sold his aquarium, and the new owner did't want the shrimp, so he ended up taking about 75 cherry shrimp of various sizes to a shop, that bought them from him...

my other colors of shrimp are doing well, but aren't as prolific, orange, yellow, and blue... with my cherries, I bought starter colonies from 2 different suppliers, hoping to get as large a gene poll as possible... I haven't done that yet, with the other colors, and I'm not really seeing a lot of babies, so I'll likely try ordering another breeding colony each, from a different supplier??? but, maybe the cherries are just more prolific???

the easiest way for me to catch shrimp, is to put food in a net, sitting on the bottom, and come back a half hour later... this works well, but it's kind of like big game hunting, or fishing, you don't get to choose your victim... in so doing, I put a net's worth into the Hillstream tank... last nights catch, was 6 or so, small to medium shrimp... I'm sure the smallest, became food, and at 1st light this morning, all I'm seeing so far are the bigger ones that were already in the tank... with as many shrimp, as are in the breeder tank, I'll do this a few more times, and hopefully a few from each netting, will establish themselves in this tank, like their predecessors...

just saw a small cherry shrimp swim across the front of the tank, through the school of Denison Barbs... I would have thought an adult Denison, could / would eat a small shrimp, but apparently they are safe, at about a 1/2 inch length...
