I Need Some Snails! Someone Please Help!

So heres the story!

Bought my figure 8 puffer from my LFS and was told by the man who sold it to me to come back and get snails for him to eat to keep his teeth short! Great i thought and went back a couple of weeks later to be told they dont sell the little pests(or give them away!)
I had already tried all the other LFS who dodnt have any!!

Someone please tell me where i can get them from!!!

go to any lfs that sells plants, theyre going to have some !!! anyone that ever bought plants will have had snails "the tiny pesky nes" at some time, they come from no where and whenu get them well you get them and spend some time trying to get rid of them !!

ha i have thousands in my tank,,they breed breed breed,,,i hate the pests,,,its a 5ft tank so imagine the population,,,every so often i scoop out net fulls and manually sift through it and can easy bin a 440g pasta sauce jar full,,,,

Hi I have had loads of plants but never seen any snails. All the LFS that i have been to seel plants but i have only seen 1 with snails and they wont give me any.

ask if they have a centralised filtration system as in the larger LFS chains, often snails do get caught up in the filter system (Ive opened up my canister filter a few times to see a few of the pesky buggers in there. i know in my local P@H they can open a little door at the bottom of the tanks where part of the filtration system is and the often have a good handful of snails in there that they can or may be able to fish out for you.

Lots of ponds and ditches in Essex. Find a couple of local lads and offer to pay a penny each – you will be overwhelmed with snails.

HA HA Have you seen the lads in essex!! They would rather cut off their fingers than be seen dredging around in ponds and ditches!!

Hi Oh yes that would be great i didnt realise you were offering them to me. What is you address so i can send you something to put them in(what shall i send?) Please dont send me a whole jar full i think my puffer will be sick! Ha ha

not sure maybe a jiffi bag?
could just bag them in with damp tissue paper,,1st class should be quick,
just send you a handfull,they breed so quick, maybe if you added a few into a jar with gravel and see if they cant breed for you,,
