I Need Some Help Changing Substrate

i currently have a 4 ft tank that is fully stocked but would like to change from sand to gravel purely becuase i dont like the look of all the crap that sits on the sand.
i want to change from sand to black gravel but how would i go about removing all the sand.
any ideas people.

how does that look. i was thinking of black gravel lets say for examply about 20kg and about 5kg of white gravel. i quite like the idea of that.

i saw on one site where u can get glow in the dark gravel. now that would look interesting.. .lol

i find keeping sand is too much hassle. i was thinking i could just use the gravel vac and hoover up all the sand.

i know of a 300us which has gravel and sand mix, looks just like a riverbed, i love natural looking, yes syphon out sand good idea,

I have thin grain black gravel with white gravel sprinkeld on the top, with a black rocky background ... all your plants / fish will stand out and look amazing

any ideas on what i should be paying for the stuff. been having a look around and i need about 20kg but most places seems to cost about £20-30.

I think your price is fair if the gravel is good quality
