I Need Help

okay so our house is sold! now it will be a while until we move but i still wanna be prepared! we wont be going to far but i dont want to mess it up...

Ive heard that the tanks should be the last to go and teh first things up...right?

I'll list all of my fish below

should I bag each species separately? or mix and match? if anyone has seen the medium sized bags at MH then that's what I will be using!

I have 2 internals on 1 tanks and one on another, should I put them in a bucket of tank water? non much else I can do...

put plants in a bag of tank water? or okay in just a bag?

should I add some jbl acclimol to bags to calm the fish? or is that just overkill? lol where do i put teh bags?

anything else?

all are not full size still small unless stated
4 x hoplo [one is full size 20cm ish]
3/4 clown loaches
7 x cory
2 x whiptail
1 x banjo cat
3 x female betta
1 x bn
6 x pentazona barbs
2 x killi
1 x gold ram
6 x honey gouramis
4 x emperor tetra
1 x penguin tet
1 x silver tip tet
1 x wcmm

tank 2
again small unless stated

2 x pearl gourami
2 x blue gourami [male is big]
2 x gold gourami
4 x neon rainbows
2 x odessa barbs
2 x yoyo loaches
1 x red finned loach
1 x syno [quite large]

+ 7 x male betta so the obvs have to go in separate bags

Bag the filter media up with tank water, 1/3 water and 2/3 air.

I am sure that the fish will be too stressed out to care which bag they are in and what fish are with them. But it really depends on how liong you are going to keep the fish in the bags.

Don't add anything to calm the fish.

Plants will be fine in the bags alone. Make sure the bags with the plants are closed up to keep the air in.

Don't transport the tanks with any water, decor, or substrate in them.

That's it, it seems like you got pretty much everything else under control.

Yes make sure the tank is moved last and first up, Use as many bags as you can couple of fish to each bag if possible this way you can save as much tank water as you can. Put all the bags in a polybox (or 2) you shouldnt need a heat pack as it shouldnt be too long then add them all back to the tank once its full.

If you have access to your new home before moving day, and the heat and utilities will be turned on, I would suggest moving the tanks and fish a day or so before you move everything else. This way you can give them your full attention without being exhausted from all the other work you will be doing on moving day.

Before you move them, be sure to test the tap water and compare it to your tank water so you are prepared to acclimatize them if necessary.

One thing ive learned is that you shouldnt feed your fish the night before moving them. If you do feed them then once they get stressed out in their bags they poop everything out and then the ammonia levels raise in the bag quickly. This is especially a problem when there is a few fish in the same bag. A guy at a fish store told me this and he made some pretty good points
Try and get a styrofoam cooler to put all the bags in for moving them so the temp doesnt drop.

Just a warning, don't try to budge an aquarium with a couple gallons it it, because you can actually crack the glass should the water shift to one side.
I just moved recently, and the best advice I have for you is already stated above regarding feeding. Keep your filter media moist and back in ASAP and all should go well.
