Up-dating news. The babies are eating brine shrimps now. Yippy! I keep sucking the bottom poop, and keep adding aged water everyday. The father still inside the tank with the snail too and they do a great job making the babies all up at the top. Easy for me to suck the bottom poop(snail, father and babies poop). I think I might hit 700 babies and not 500. The more I look into the tank and tried to figure out how many I got, I get heart attack.

I did look carefully at the babies tail! Half of the babies are DOUBLETAIL!!!!! And also the babies got different colors too. Wou!!! It will be real interesting what the final off spring will look like.

I DO HAVE SOME RED HALFMOON BABIES FINALLY!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! ONLY ONE INCH LONG BABIES BETTA OR LESS ALREADY SPREAD THEIR TAIL TO HALFMOON. THEY STILL GROWING!! THEY ONLY 2 MONTHS HALF OLD. I THINK SOME MIGHT BE OVER HALFMOON LATER IF KEEP JARING THEM NOW. I THINK I KNOW THE TRICK NOW. LOL

That's awesome! I'd love to breed Betta. I'm 70% sure it's what my next tank will be used for. What type of fish can live in a tank with a female Betta (for my show tank) that are nice and friendly? Glass fish I really really think are cool.

IF I pulled that male out on the 10 days after with the frys, I can straight breed him with another female that carried eggs. He is ready anytime. LOL Do you know that male suck the brine shrimps too? LOL. He always full of food to eat now. That is why he love to baby seat the babies. I have no problems of my male betta taking care of the babies. They help me raise it bigger so I can take over easily. Now the babies already started to eat brine shrimps and in few days, they will be big. Somehow in the batch, 5% still don't know how to eat brine shrimps and they are very tiny. I still fed them egg yolk but less.
I still see a lot of doubletail than single.
Oh yeah, the first batch frys looking good and getting big. All single tail as what I can see. They are doing so well and maybe only 2 to 3 dead so far since the father take out on the 10 days. Yup. at less 150 in there.
