I Got A Job!

yeah at a guess in the fish shop they had whopping great big industrial sized RO units, yours is like the home version, they are much much slower, your results are not at all surprising, we had the same sort of speed with a 50GPD unit.

also remember the temp fo the water will have an effect on teh speed, if it's too cold as is likely at this time of year it slows it all down although helpfully i can't remember why.

Bare in mind, a 60gpd unit, will produce a maximum of 60 gallons a day.
In actuality it is probably producing considerably less, it depends on the temperature and pressure of the water going into it

OMG -JEALOUS-

you get to choose the fish they sell!! how cool is that. just get 1 million neon tetras

Thanks guys! I also get to set the prices! For the R/O, i use it outside. Luckily, we dont have a thing on any of our indoor faucets to use, so we are using the cold( i mean like FREEZING cold water from a spicket outside). I will see if any of my family members ( i have 2 relatives house right downt he street) and see if i can steal some water( warm) from them to see if it processes better.

awesome well done on the job, working in a fish shop is fun, ive moved up already to supervisor somehow last week :D whats brilliant is doing display tanks and not using any of your own money!

ordering fish is good though nice resposibilty to have!

Orange Shark has an R/O unit I believe...he's in live chat right now.

Is it attached to the outside spigot with a hose? If it is coil a length of the hose in a bucket, put hot water in the bucket.

Put some of the hose in a bucket of hot water, the water will warm the hose water a bit as it flows through.
