Oh gosh - I'm sending you a cyber hanky!!

I certainly DO plan on sticking around - God willing (that's what us old folks say - LOL!)

Thanks on the age info, guys & gals. I was told once that their fins NEVER stop growing, but that doesn't seem possible, does it?

glad to see the tank crisis didn't end in anything worse.... He looks great! If only more people understood "proper bowl housing".

Remz + 10gal betta tank + Misplaced laundry basket =..... ehhh, not worth discussing :|

Me too - it could have been SOOOOO much worse!!!!

Heck, I don't understand "proper bowl housing"!!!! I just set it up like I would have with a tank, but less space.

Boy, oh, boy - that sounds like a story and a HALF, Remz!!! LOL!

For anybody that is interested, I just ordered this tank:

Once I receive it next week (hopefully), it's bye-bye bowl!

That's a great looking tank and very good price too. Spike will love it I'm sure :good:

I'm sure he would - if he were going in it. :)

Since it IS such a nice looking unit, I have decided to give it to Blizzard in the living room and give Spike the 3 gal. Eclipse that Blizzard is currently in. I'm sure Spike will like it just fine.

I'm glad you approve of the tank! :good: Gosh, I just couldn't pass it up at that price.

OMG.....that's favouritism :/

I'm sure Spike will be happy with whatever tank he gets :good:

Just shows that you can pick up nice tanks at very reasonable prices. It's always worth shopping around.

Yes, I ALWAYS shop around - I'm thrifty that way!!!

Was going to go used, but this tank at that price with all the stuff....... As long as the holes in the "rock" are big enough I will let Blizzard have it. The plastic plants I will put in my cichlid tanks and let them rip them up out of the gravel. :) It'll be fun for them!

Not so much favorite fish per se, but favorite room! If somebody demanded I tell them which is my fav, I would be hard pressed indeed!

BTW, Spike has been working on his nest today and has gotten it bigger - he even has ANOTHER one started around the heater cord! What a SILLY boy - thinking a good looking honey is gonna swim along any minute - LOL!!! Ahhhh - but he isn't the only one. Most of them have nests going since I have taken out the filters and uped the water changes.

Lol....we hoard tanks. We've been given so many in the last year, which is ideal for breeding as we always have big tanks lying around for growouts.

I'd have a job picking a favourite cos I like them all for different reasons!!!

I hope you're getting some pics of these nests. I've got a boy in the spawning tank at the moment and hoping like mad that he'll build one. Little Keaper was very hit and miss with his nests when spawning but as soon as he's put back in his tank he builds a huge one.....little monkey

Well, that's a male for ya!!! LOL!

Ask and ye shall receive (just Spike's though - too lazy to go take others).

Very cute.....and a real frothy one too!!!!

Actually I had a girl that would build better nests than some of the boys lol very much into equal rights I think!!!

Are they supposed to be real frothy? Do they work better that way? Just curious as I have NO plans to breed - no matter HOW much you try to push me, Netty!!!! :shout: :hyper:

Just goes to show ya - if you want something done right, send a woman to do it!!!

Yes BUT (Not wanting to start a war of the sexes here...lol) it needs a man to check it all over to make sure it is all done correctly, as women think it is right when often it isn't...... :big_boss:

They do hold the eggs better when breeding. Some males will only make a single layer which breaks apart quicker.

Not bad for a girl eh? But not great when you're trying to sex them and the girls start joining in on the bubble making
