I'd be more inclined to move the male back to the smaller tank and keep the females in the community if it's just for the one night.

26C-27C should be absolutely fine. What size is your community tank?

This red tailed black shark is super chilled.
He just gets on, doing his own thing and since watching them for a long time, have not once seen it confront another fish at all.
He just slowly swims about, eating stuff from the bogwood and gravel.
its 60l.
Its a biorb life, so it has a lot of free space at the top, but towards the mid and bottom is quite dense with a huge piece of bogwood, some plastic plants and some slate.

RTBS ideally need a 4ft tank as they are territorial. Although they are ok when they are young, they can become a lot more aggressive when they mature. Im afraid the Biorb isn't suitable to keep a shark in. 
I'd pop back to the store and rehome the 3 female Bettas and the RTBS, I'd also point out to them that they sold you unsuitable fish.
Don't be down on yourself about listening to bad advice from the store, I'm sure we've all been guilty of making mistakes somewheer down the line. Not all stores are the same, just takes a while to find a decent one.

The problem with that is, first of all, by the time you notice an aggressive shark he could well have killed some fish. Secondly, a LFS is more likely to take back a small RTBS, as they can be kept in a tank with others of his species, than a large, aggressive one.

I'd put the male betta in the small tank and everything else in the larger tank. I didn't read the middle bit of this post, but I read the beginning and the end.
First advice; DO NOT listen to Pets at Home. Do research online and ask questions on the forum first; people have been there done that so can advise you what to do and we aren't going to make money from it so you'll get a more honest bit of advice, some people may bite but most people don't. Sounds like you have had a bit of an ordeal lol.

OMG just looked at your profile and saw that you are in Newcasle 
. There are a few good shops. There is a shop in Mickley (near Prudhoe) which is really good; it's out the way but their stock is good and they know what they are talking about - it's called Tyne View Aquatics (they have a site; just search for it); I've phoned and emailed them asking advice before (some of it I know and just want it confirmed). There is a shop in Byker called Betta (I always hated the shop, but I've been in it a few times lately and it's got clean tanks, healthy looking stock, staff know what they are talking about (most of the time); I was in at the weekend and they were giving decent advice. Aquatic and Exotic Pets (I think it's called) also in Byker (although may be classed as Ouseburn) are quite good for stock too (they don't do much in the way of tropical fish but they do a lot of marine and their stock is really good - they have accessories in there which are good; I've not seen them else where). I'd advise against Peter Barrats - Gosforth (8 + dead neon tetras in a tank is NOT suitable - I dont know why they don't just net them out); Dobbies Garden Centre have a better stock (Ponteland) although take a look around their tanks and if there are loads of dead fish leave it (they can be hit and miss, although they seem to be doing well lately). There is one near Metro Centre called Dunston Exotics (I'd advise against their stock); there are a few other shops that I've been to and wouldn't go back to in the area. Oooh there is a shop in Ashington Called Animal Tracks (if you search online for Animal Tracks Ashington - you'll find the info) - I work with a bloke who is friends with the owner; I went for the first time at the weekend; they didn't have a lot in but it looked healthy.
