all fish now gone tank stocking is now 2 bits of bogwood and 5ppm ammonia , no sand , no lights . nada njet nothing!!
tax office say my rebate will be issued wednesday , that will take 3 to 5 days to clear , then i can finally get the ball rolling on my planted discus community.
i wait excitedly like a kid on christmas eve

I look forward to seeing your new fish :)

What plans do you have for the planting? Lots of tall thin plants?

plant-wise im not really into tall and thin i like nice broad leaves , i may have a little bit olf giant valis but so far my planting list is echinodorus bleheri, echinodorus rosea, hygrophilia polysperma, hygrophilia corymbosa, nymphea zenkeri red, alternthera roseaflora, mayaca fluviatilis, cryptocorne willisii, and for the foreground echinodorus latifolius. ( probs some spelling mistakes in that lot  the substrate will be a layer of planting substrate topped with black limpopo sand ( as seen in minxfishy's tanks)

stocking will be 6 discus and 30 cardinals ( which i may up to 50 once i see for muself how big a shoal 30 is in reality)

centrepiece of the scape will be this huge piece of bogwood

along with this piece of redmoor root and another smaller arch-like piece of wood which i plant to plant with moss and/or anubias .

carnt wait to see ya tank mate

 thats an old pic mate in drinkin bottled stella tonight . gonna suck having no fish for a while but it will be worth it in the long run .

Nothing worse than looking at an empty tank, I have a little one sitting empty in the kitchen and finally have brought in from the garden my last 400l tank, its sitting in the conservatory waiting now to be cleaned up and re-sealed. Its a torment because I cannot bring it into the house till hubby decorates and I need a couple of things first that will have to wait untill the vet bill is paid off!!
