I Am In A Sticky Situation Right Now!

Okay, I have a 10 gallon tank set up in my dorm here at the University with my breeding pair of Kribensis. She just had another batch of fry and they will be free swimming in about 3 days.

Anyways, I will be done with final next week and have little over a month Christmas break! (One of the many reasons I like college, lol)

Well, I need to move my tank back home, and in the tank I have the male and female along with her new fry, which she will be very protective over at this point!

How should I go about the move? Bag them up in separate bags or the same? Once I get the tank set up back home should I put the fry back in with their parents, or would the parents eat the fry at this point?

Or should I just move the fry onto their new home; fry tank?

All input will be greatly appreciated as I am stuck as to what I am going to do!?

I would move them to the fry tank, since they should be free swimming by then. As far as I am aware the only benifit the parents provide is protection to the fry. I really don't do cichlids though. If this is right, remove the young once they are free swimming should be fine. Adding them back in with the parents may result in them getting eaten. This is if the parents feel the situation is less than ideal for raising them. Its a survival thing. Raising young in less than ideal conditions is a waste of energy on the parents part. The fish will eat them as they will provide nutrients for the next breeding, at which time the conditions should hopefully be more ideal.
